Trained in New York City, Dr. Mulligan is a licensed clinical psychologist who brings a little bit of the East Coast to her practice in the West Side of Los Angeles.   Dr. Mulligan has been helping children, teenagers, and adults create lasting change since 2004. Extensively trained in multiple treatment modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and family therapy, Dr. Mulligan tailors treatments individually. Dr. Mulligan excels at assessment and evaluation, identifying complex mental health issues. Dr. Mulligan loves her work and is passionate about helping others reach their potential.

Dr. Mulligan earned a Bachelors of Arts (BA) from New York University and went on to earn a Master of Science in School Psychology (MSEd) and a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in School-Clinical Psychology from Pace University. Dr. Mulligan gained extensive experience in premier New York City hospitals, working with individuals from diverse socio-economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.

Dr. Mulligan completed a predoctoral externship at the infamous Bellevue Hospital working with adults in psychiatric crisis, adults struggling with substance use disorders, children suffering from co-morbid medical problems, and children on an outpatient basis. In the White Plains School District, Dr. Mulligan provided consultation to teachers and staff, conducted psychological assessments, and provided individual and group therapy to elementary and high school students. She completed her predoctoral internship at Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital where she trained using Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in adolescent day treatment program for young adults struggling with psychiatric and substance issues. Dr. Mulligan was the primary clinician for adults on a psychiatric inpatient unit, and provided outpatient therapy to diverse patients. Post doctoral training was completed at the Addiction Institute where Dr. Mulligan trained extensively in the treatment of substance use disorders. Upon completion of training, Dr. Mulligan accepted a supervising psychologist position at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel where she provided supervision and training to psychology externs, psychology interns, and psychiatry residents in their work with adults and children in a variety of settings. Dr. Mulligan formed a private practice in New York City and simultaneously taught doctoral level course work in psychological assessment at Pace University before moving to Los Angeles.
